Alvin “P.J.” Boutte is a first-generation college graduate, former student-athlete, and passionate leader dedicated to empowering the next generation.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, P.J.’s journey is a testament to hard work, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
From an early age, he excelled both academically and athletically,
maintaining a 3.2 GPA throughout his career while making a name for himself on the basketball court.
His senior year of high school, he was honored as
IPS Student-Athlete of the Year, earned a Division I scholarship,
and set Indiana’s all-time IHSAA assist record.
In college, he became a Horizon League Champion, earned his undergraduate degree from IUPUI,
and later obtained his graduate degree from The Citadel, a prestigious Division I military school.
P.J. went on to play professional basketball across the globe, competing in Mexico, Canada,
Europe, and the NBA G League.
After his playing career, he transitioned into a high-level basketball trainer, working with elite athletes,
including NBA and WNBA players.
Now, he continues to make an impact as a sports consultant and trainer.
In 2025, P.J. added “author” to his list of accomplishments, launching a series of children’s books
available in both digital and physical formats.
He also founded his own elite skill development program (PJ SKILLS ACADEMY), ensuring young athletes receive the training and mentorship they need to succeed.
Through The PJ Foundation, P.J. sponsors underprivileged youth, giving them access to top-tier training programs they might not otherwise afford.
He also established a trade program for student-athletes and former felons, providing mentorship opportunities and life skills training to help them contribute positively to their communities.
Committed to developing leadership and character both on and off the court, P.J. Boutte is building a legacy that extends far beyond basketball.
P.J.’s full site that will give supporters access to all of his initiatives is currently under construction, but his impact is already in motion.
